Fencing
A fence is posts, rails and infill. Profile pipe, angle, profiled sheet and mesh are all in stock, and one request covers the lot.
Posts and rails
A fence stands on its posts: profile pipe at 2.5–3 m centres, set roughly a third of the post height into the ground. Up to two metres, two rails of lighter pipe are enough; above that, use three. Gate and wicket frames are welded from pipe or angle.
Sheet or mesh
Profiled sheet closes the plot completely; mesh is cheaper and does not catch the wind. On a solid fence the governing load is wind, so an exposed site takes a taller profile. Check the coating on both faces: unlike a roof, both sides of a fence are on show.
How to count sheets
Count by working width, not overall width: neighbouring sheets lap by one rib, and over a long run that difference shows. Measure each side of the plot, the gate and wicket widths, and the height — we will price sheet and pipe in one quote.
